My Blankie

I've have this blanket for at least 20 years and it's falling apart, I don't carry it around like a child, but it's still my blanket when I'm cold or not feeling well.

What items do you still have and/or use from childhood or have at least had for a very long time?

I'm just wondering why you stopped sucking your thumb since you obviously enjoyed it so much. I mean, what's the rub? :)

It was always wet and it's bad for your teeth. Plus, it's really hard when you get old and start wanting to kiss and be kissed to do that with a thumb in your mouth...but that blanket, that's staying with me for as long as I can make excuses to keep it. My dog uses it now, it's his bed.

Before, it wasnt loading as a .mov so I had to convert it to .avi. Theres one other without and then Ill debut your talented intro.

I ruined it! I washed it and the old stuffing is now a big ball so Im using it as a pillow.

@sandra4380 No you're not crazy; more people have such items (blankets, teddys etc) than they let on. My blanket that I came home from the hospital in is very beat up and torn yet I think i'll have it until its last scrap of fabric in which i'll probably put away in a fire-proof safe for safe keeping, haha. Btw I love scratching my blanket, i'm doing it right now. :)

I came home from the hospital wrapped up in my blanket, so it's at least 19 years old now. I love her so muchhh <3 Her name is Bankie. I don't see why its sometimes a taboo thing to mention such items we cherish that society tells us that we must grow out of.It's fairly common, it doesn't effect your brain in a bad way (I've always been an A-B student in school), and people who truely love you won't judge you for it.My boyfriend even finds himself rubbing Bankie sometimes; it's the cutest thing!

The oldest thingy I've had would have to be.... My Naval Beanie Baby. xD I gave him to my girlfriend. ^^ I trusts her with him, and my heart. ^-^
