could you help me out i rooted my droid x when i try to get into linux installer it gives me an error saying Missing Kernal Modules please check kernal: /proc/config.gz

I tried to get vnc server using sudo apt-get install tightvncserver. but it says unable to locate the package..do you have any suggestion..

When I'm installing it spends hours on "Validating packages" is this normal? ("Working(2000+)")

@adam3251 Make sure you follow the final instruction and press the button for installing the scripts. If you _have_ done that, make sure that you haven't changed that setting. It's possible to rename that startup in the Linux Installer settings. PM me if you're still having troubles.

After I type linuxchroot do I type aptitude update?

@theSuperVil That's a good next step, sure. I usually use apt-get rather than aptitude, since it's better on a limited terminal like a phone.
Btw, I recommend the app "hacker's keyboard" if you've got a large screen or a tablet. Gives you a proper keyboard with all the function keys and whatnot. Makes it way easier to work in a Unix command line environment.
