i love this piece ... :) it has something sad,but also something positive ..

credo che sibelius abbia immaginato l'abete come la vita di un uomo! il sole che lo riscalda e il vento e la pioggia che lo lacerano! e a volte qualche fulmine lo incenerisce! sì e' proprio la vita di un uomo!

Hi everyone. This is a recording by Erik W. Tawaststjerna, a Finnish pianist, musicologist and biographer of Sibelius.

5/5 beautiful music!

@darkRaimundo are you playing the song or is it a CD?

This is the most lyrical rendering of one of the loveliest piano pieces, ever. Wonder who the pianist is?

I have heard this piece 7 times on the computer today and I have practiced a lot ,but i am just not good at the third page of this piece.
Thanx for posting the latest batch of Sibeliana, DarkRaimundo. Who is the pianist?
Were you going to upload the other four pieces in the Op. 75 "Trees" set? There already is a clip of When the Mountain Ash Is in Bloom, Op. 75, No. 1 on YouTube--Eero Heinonen is the pianist. There is also a series of an in-home live performance of all five pieces, but the sound on those is a bit distorted--I linked those to the "Jean Sibelius" Facebook group of which I'm a member.
