Use it up wear it out make it do or do without. A 6c oil to 10oz lye to make some very strong soap for doing the dishes. It's gentle to my hands. That's the washer in the background.

  • I can't believe you're singing while your washing your dishes I never sing when I wash my dishes you have a great attitude continued doing you tube and I'll still watch you thank you, Maria

  • @cubalakeland I like singing!

  • Nice video. I make up dish soap out of my leftover kitchen grease....it's good stuff and it keeps all that grease from going to waste or clogging my drains. :)

  • @gmmcnair Do you find that the dishsoap leaves a greasy film in the bottom of the sink?

  • Hello Nancy, I cant figure why would people worry about what you should have done with the towel. As you said, "your going to try and experiment".( For the people who commented on using the washer for a dirty towl instead of waisting water). Apperantly she was making a video to show people who love to watch, how her soap cleans well. So, what will the washer do DUH..........this was a soap experiment! Im sure the negative comments writers have waisted plenty of water once before.

  • @egypt4000 Thanks. good point!

Not really, but I keep little dollar store grater on a hook by the sink and grate a tablespoon or so into my dishwater. That's usually enough to keep the grease suspended, and then I use a soap scrubby sponge for extra dirty dishes. Most of them practically rinse themselves clean that way. I'm a lazy dish washer LOL!

  • I love the expression "Use it ip, wear it out, make it do, or do without" so much that I have taken it and started saying and implementing it in our home.

  • you seem like such a good person,,but i have 1 question. What in the world is running in the background is it the dryer or???

  • @hell0hkitty It's the same in Canada, only they wipe the dishwater off with a tea towel. I can't imagine thinking it's clean. Not when I see all the yuck in rinse water!

  • nanc, when i came to new zealand i noticed that the housewives here, for the most part, do not rinse the soap after they wash dishes, they just wash and put them in the drying rack!!! ewwwwwww i almost died yuck imagine eating all that surfactant! now i eat at other people's house with a bit of reservation, and if i come home with a tummy ache, ummm soap poisoning! lololol i rinse twice lol
