One of many wonderful commercials John Cleese did for Compaq Computer Corporation in the mid to late '80s.

A very rare find and a treasure for any John Cleese fan, these classic ads were shown only in England.

  • "full function cortable pomputing" it really is hard to resist those sneaky little intentional mishaps that grease cleese's humorous engine.

  • Cheese and Compaq were way ahead of their time. users, then, wanted specific information about the product because everything changed soooo fast back then.

if I was a the ceo of any of todays whole-sale computing marketing and sales cooperations, I would engage Cleese to do the same thing "reloaded".

because users are much more familiar with bits, bytes and hertz today than they where then. we google for info.

today i want to be entertained while being comercialized - or i´ll switch ...

  • Oooppps

  • Minecraft yogscast

  • Put THAT on your lap(don't say that's what she said)

  • @mrbuttholebrown Just one screen, but that was a selling point then! You had to have two monitors (monitors = big hulking things that take up a ton of space) in order to view both graphics and text at the same time! Compaq could do both ON ONE SCREEN!!

  • Ah, Compaq. They'll never cleese to amaze us.

...Man, that sure was a terrible joke.

  • lol compaq got ruined by hp...they're probably the worst laptops today

  • cleese ftw
