Paper Clothes 2011 By Sukie Buzzacott

About the project- Fine Art A level unit 3, the figure within its environment using paper manipulation has involved the struggle between the human form and the medium. I began by studying the figure especially the movement, this led to the animation 'The Walk. I then began to incorporate paper, manipulating patterns and transferring them to chiffon fabrics. Weaving the figure in, out and about these visual stimulus i then combined the two areas within a black and white paper bodice, where the paper became the figures environment.

About the video- The shape and design of the garments in this video echo the movement, stiffness and agile shapes of the human forms, and the muscles that allow this to take place. The battle between the environment is shown through the figures motions. I have created the sound track with the help of 'garageband' application.
