  • Very Grateful to hear this record again, Thank you. Think I have a tape of this concert I recorded. Anyone have advice on how to upload a tape cassette?

  • Glad you liked it =) Presumably you can buy some sort of equipment that plugs into your computer and rips from tapes to mp3. I'm ashamed to say, though, that I torrented most of my Swans, so I'm not actually sure how that works or what you would need to use.

  • @macleodponeage Only one of the reasons Swans are so, so beyond incredible. Versatility. And all of it incredible.

  • best song ever

  • i loved this band in the 80's then somehow completely forgot they existed till 2 days ago

  • @trentigalaxy Prostitution

  • Who gives a fuck what amg says or anyone else for that matter. As long as you enjoy it, let the rest of the sheeple writhe in Bieber and Britney and whatever other garbage that sells alot today. I'd much rather see bands in a small venue anyway, just like the 4-5 times I've seen the SWANS!!!

Well stated. I was one of those shouting, "Heresy!" As time passed and I got older, this album really grew on me. Like a fine wine, it's aged well and only now it's subtle complexities have revealed themselves profound.

  • At the time that it was released many Swans fan thought The Burning World to be sacrilege. It didn't sound like their previous work and was ... gack! ... folky. But of course time has proven how brilliant and ahead of their time (and their fans) they were. This album is a masterpiece.

  • @trentigalaxy i always thought the same thing but im not sure

  • Can't remember who I am.

  • is this an ode to milk-carton kids, you know, child abductees? or am i waaay off on this? correct me if i am

  • The god song!!!!
