The Dresden Dolls ending their show at The Phoenix in Toronto with Neutral Milk Hotel's "Two-Headed Boy". Amanda's voice is raspy and sexier for it. It was the combined force of will of Josh and Bill that compelled both the band to play this song, and the club to allow them an extra song. yip.

  • if you have any die mannequin vids, i will love you. but the vid was amazing, i loved last night, wished it went on forever.

  • This was the only vid I got. It was so packed and I was too sandwiched to do any others. Because of the mess outside, I only actually got into the venue after the opening acts had finished. I've seen them live thrice -- opening for NIN, at Mod Club, and at the Bloor Theatre, and this wasn't my favourite (though still great). The larger venue and more obnoxious loud fans hurt this sho a bit for me.

  • *SHOW

  • i can't thank you enough for putting this up, it's such good quality too.. this is one of my favourite songs, and hearing amanda sing it is always amazing.

  • Thanks! The quality was actually wrecked quite a bit in the conversion for YouTube. On my computer it looks and sounds even better.

  • I don't know who Josh or Bill are but I thank them. I thought the fans were excellent. I thought things were more pushy at the Mod. I really wouldn't have changed a thing with the phoenix show other then the delays with getting ppl in the venue. I was near amanda's side and things were rather calm. An exception was the girl who chirped out 'thank you' at the 3 min mark. She was quiet as a mouse until that raw outbreak.

  • this is beautiful. I love this song. that night was amazing, I wish I could go back. <3

random~ I was watching other videos of them covering this song, and there are tons of people saying nasty things about amanda. her voice is terrible, they shouldn't be covering this "musical masterpiece", she's faking emotion, etc. it pissed me off. it's nice to come here where everyone likes the performance and doesn't bash the band. and I like it! it's different from NMH, but I don't think it's worse. :)

  • There's no such thing as a "bad" interpretive dance. And I bet Amanda is secretly the second best interpretive dancer in the world.

  • Totally agree, makes my ear drums play double bass.

  • Usually when I watch concert videos, I find the audience singalongs wickedly annoying. This one is just brilliant. Almost made me cry.

  • Thank you thank you! I had to leave 5 songs in and a swear i'll regret it the rest of my life. I've never seen them live before, this was my first show and I was in a happy trace the entire time despite some of the rude people and the fact that I got in late as well. <3
