Ada's POV

I was reading one of the magazines when the door opened. I looked up and saw my mom standing there, tears running down her cheeks. She took a chair and sat next to me.

Ada: Mom it's nothing serious....
Mrs.Brown: Oh honey

She took my hand and held it in hers.

Ada: I just passed out....i guess i haven't been sleeping that well
Mrs.Brown: Ada
Ada: What?
Mrs.Brown: The doctor told me the results from your blood test
Ada: A-and?
Mrs.Brown: Well....he told me that...
Ada: What mom? What did he tell? Is there something wrong with me?
Mrs.Brown: There's nothing wrong with you...
Ada: Then what is it?
Mrs.Brown: Sweetheart.....you're pregnant.
Ada: What!?
Mrs.Brown: Yeah....
Ada: But.....what....how?
Mrs.Brown: You haven't noticed anything?
Ada: Well...

Now that i started thinking about it....i had gained some weight, i haven't gotten my period in two months and i've been using the bathroom a lot lately.

Ada: I thought that i missed my period because of the stress and the birthcontrol pill.
Mrs.Brown: Well the blood test showed that you're 2 months pregnant
Ada: I'm pregnant.....i'm carrying Nick's child....

I started to cry like a maniac. My mom tried to calm me down but it didn't help. Not at all. What am i gonna do. I'm turning 18 in few months and i'm freaking pregnant....and i just started college....i'm so screwed up.

Mrs.Brown: Shhhh honey....everything's gonna be alright
Ada: How do you know that?
Mrs.Brown: You're such a strong person...you'll get through this
Ada: How? I'm all alone!
Mrs.Brown: You're not alone. You've got me and dad and Dan and....
Ada: Dan....i can't wait to hear what he has to say about this....
Mrs.Brown: He's not gonna hate you.....he was really sad when he heard what happened with you and Nick....i bet he'll be there for you.
Ada: You think?
Mrs.Brown: I know.....so do you think you're gonna keep the baby?
Ada: Of course! I can't kill it....i can't...and i'm not gonna give the baby away.
Mrs.Brown: Well you can do whatever you want to do.
Ada: I can't start college now
Mrs.Brown: Yeah college isn't the best idea right now.....you need rest
Ada: Yeah....though i'm not coming back home
Mrs.Brown: Then where do you think you're gonna go?
Ada: Maybe i could stay at grandma's...you know at least 'til the baby is born?
Mrs.Brown: That does sound smart...you could rest there. And i'm sure grandma won't mind you staying there....she loves you.
Ada: Yeah.....are you mad at me?
Mrs.Brown: Mad? Why would i be mad at you?
Ada: Well maybe because i'm not even 18 and i'm expecting a child
Mrs.Brown: I'm not mad...i've just been thinking that didn't you use protection with Nick?
Ada: Yes....always.....but two months ago...we used condoms 'cause i couldn't take the pill while i was taking the antibiotics...
Mrs.Brown: Well with condoms there's always the "3 percents"
Ada: And it happened with us....
