that would make sense, except it is a virus, and so that would be like having every continent develop a species of cats but having none of them relate to each other. The AIDs virus is pretty much the same organism, the only thing that really differs is its ability to live in different hosts or environments.
The wound would have to be open to the bloodstream to infect the hunter with AIDs. So a scar wouldn't work.

At the least, you're only predominantly hetersosexual. And that's perfectly all right with me. But according to traditional Christian Doctrine, you're a homosexual=gay=f-adjective f-noun (like me). I know it's appallingly homophobic, but that's what they teach. So please, work to overcome your own internalised homophobia.

AIDs came from gorrillas in Africa. It was transferred to humans because of poaching and if a poacher got infected gorilla blood in an open wound the poacher got aids. They probably didn't realize this since AIDs kills via other diseases as its effect is to weaken the immune system. It spread among gays so quickly because they didn't use condoms since, unlike heteros they weren't concerned with pregnancy

In 1999 a team of scientists from the University of Alabama found a type of SIV [Simian Immunodeficiency Virus] that was almost identical to HIV-1. This strain was found in a frozen sample from a species of chimp which lived in west-central Africa. SIV could have been transferred to humans by chimps being killed and eaten or their blood getting into the hunter's wounds. Normally the hunter could have fought off SIV, but on a few occasions it adapted and became HIV-1.

OKAY!.....I've been taught this in biology, I think they were eating the chimps though instead of getting it from a scar.. like felines have FIV, and humans "can't get it". It's a big mystery to me, I don't settle to believe we caught it from an amimal though, I think every species can develop it from promiscuity behavior really.

And gay people can have kids. ever heard of adoption or Artificial insemination?
