Memorable Moments and Lines from Space Quest 6

My first video, and hopefully not one that will get me banned.

For those of you unfamiliar with Space Quest, it chronicles the adventures of a perpetually befuddled janitor who ends up saving the galaxy several times over, spoofing every element of popular science fiction (why it had to be cancelled when there is still plenty of cheesy sci-fi pleading to be parodied is beyond me).

SQ6 isn't exactly the best game in the series, but it's got some of the greatest dialogue (the narrator is the incredible Gary Owens!). The number of funny moments is near endless, but I've collected several of them and set them to music from SQ6 and one of its prequels (the text at the end is incorrect; there's no material from SQ3 in this video).

By the way: the Space Quest series (as well as the King's Quest, Police Quest and Leisure Suit Larry series) has been released as a new collection by Vivendi Universal, and are now WinXP compatible (they also work with Windows Vista and 7). VU did a shoddy job putting the collections together, but at least they're reasonably priced.

Fortunately I still have my disc to this game. Unfortunately, it doesn't like Windows 7. Perhaps I can try to get it working under DOSBox

Yes, DOSBox is usually the best method to getting these old games running, especially on very new systems.

One of the best lines in the game is when Roger encounters an alien who introduces himself and then asks Roger what his mom calls him, to which Roger responds "A mistake. But my friends call me Roger Wilco."

At the Sierra Help Pages, they have installers for all Sierra games that help get the game to play, also to play in DoxBox without problems.

One of my favourite moments in this game was when you're travelling through the intestines and you try and go further down into the colon, and he absolutely refuses to go that far... I never laughed so hard. ;)
