  • this is a Kommunist song by the Kommunist Prokofiev. the entire Lt. Kizhe program demonstrated the fallacies and idiocies of tsar nikolai 2, especially when the fool gave a medal for the heck of it(as he ws accustomed) and didn't even know the guy's name! so everyone made fun of the idiotic tsar and the soldier was addresses by this kizhe name or "whatchamacallit". this song has nothing to do with Christmas but has been adopted by of all things, money grabbing kapitalist churches...ha ha ha ha ha

  • @sayeretmatkal17021 Composer Prokofiev never was a member of Communist Party, he lived in the USSR during Communist regime.

"Lieutenant Kije" novel by Yu. N. Tynyanov descibes the atmosphere of Russia in the reign of Pavel I (1754-1801) , not of Nikolay II.

    The music is just wonderful!

  • @TheWALLACEANDGROMIT sorry, but i have the original notes. and it refers to the time when nikolai 2(a blooming idiot) awarded a medal and had no clue as to whom to award it and so became Leftenant Whatchamakallit. and Prokofiev was a member of the party just as Khatchaturian. it's nice to hear from You 2 cartoon dogs.

  • this version made me smile! =)

Need an insane amount of bells to play it. :)

  • @Alexander1868 golly sergeant carter!!!! shazam!!!!

  • @sayeretmatkal17021 Its not about Tsar Nicholas II at all..Its a satire on bureaucracy and Tsar Paul I.

  • Unfortunately sleigh bells are one timbre that does not agree with any microphone except maybe a ribbon mic from the back of the room - everything else, it just produces this horrible crunchy noise - fortunately it only takes a small taste for them to be understood so why mic ? I don't know why I'm writing this, honestly.
