Well, okay, except that they never actually had sex in a tub in "English Patient".

It is odd that they would put this much controversy about a real movie in an episode. Normally it would be about a made up movie so that the situation is funny for everyone. Seinfeld had plenty of made up movies during its run such as Firestorm, Prognosis Negative, or Checkmate. So, why not a made up movie here?
