And yet, at my school, we have to hide in the hallways. We don't get to hide in rooms.

Unfortunately, that is potentially true. The absolute safest place is in an underground storm shelter where nothing heavy is above your head, like if you took shelter in your basement. An even safer alternative is a safe room.

The only thing that sucks about hiding in an interior hallway, is that if an F4 or F5{or maybe F2/F3 for smaller or weaker buildings like wooden cabins} tornado hits, you're most likely flippin' screwed.

@missims100 Hopefully, you are paying close enough attention to the weather that you are able to make it downstairs in time. I recommend a weather radio to alert you of the warnings in your area. That should give you ample time to get downstairs.
