A short sketch/clip/monologue from the popular 1960's sketch show "At Last The 1948 Show" which starred a pre-Python Graham Chapman & John Cleese, along with Marty Feldman, Tim Brooke-Taylor & "The Lovely" Ami MacDonald ;)
In this sketch John Cleese plays a meek (slightly-unhinged?) scientist who wants to tell us about his "friends"...Germs!
This sketch is from series 2 of the show & from a "lost" episode that IS NOT AVAILABLE ON THE DVD! OR available commercially anywhere as far as I know. So it's abit rare I think :)
Enjoy! It's adorable! ;)

  • Mr. Cleese must have known some science students

  • Proof that all scientists are mad! I knew it!

  • great stuff

  • I love John!!!!!

  • Kind of like Hugh Laurie in the sketch "Split Personality" :D

  • I cant spell tee hee.

  • John Cleese is my all time favourite for acting a maniac.

  • "Nobody will laugh at me! NOBODY WILL LAUGH AT ME!"

Thanks for uploading this lost classic.

  • Is this on the DVD's? I don't remember it. Is it more surviving material than the DVDs?

BTW, this sketch seems like a typical Graeme Garden sketch, like "Dr Findish" in "Broaden your mind".
