Originally recorded as a duet with violinist Allen Sloan, Steve also performs the guitar part as a solo piece. Steve later recorded the duet with Manuel Barrueco on Manuel's CD, "Nylon & Steel", with Manuel playing Sloanov's violin part on guitar.

I hate I cut off the right hand, as this is really a nice RH arpeggio study, as well as a workout for the left hand with all the barres and shifts. Guitar: 2005 John Bogdanovich

  • nice! is there any score or tab? (:

  • @EricVera539

Thanks. You can find the music for this piece at stevemorse dot info/tab dot html. It's in standard notation, no tab.

  • To execute the 6-note group arpeggios at the beginning of the piece, do you continue to cycle through this right hand pattern? p-i-m-a-m-i? Seems like the most logical way to me, but it's difficult to execute it at the same speed you do.

I've seen others play it in unorthodox ways. p-p-i-m-m-m (Drag their middle fingers down on the last 3 notes of the series). Really weird but he executed it well. Just trying to find the right way to execute it. (The sheet music doesn't give much direction)

  • @dann3th3manni3 You got it: pimami-pimami-pimami. Sorry I cut the right hand off in the video, or it would have been more clear. This piece is a great RH exercise...

You can try planting at a slow tempo to help ingrain the feel for the movement. And make sure a & c move together to reduce RH tension.

  • tabs please

  • Absolutely played perfectly.

This is possibly one of his most difficult yet beautiful songs, and you played it better than I thought anyone but the God Steve himself could.

  • This is really a nice cover...

    Awesome techinique btw ;)
