Analogy of gun and dog is STUPID.

Gun can do nothng without the owner, a dog can very well kill. Dog is not a mechanical system, it is a living thing.

A living thing capable of making desicions on its own, without you (owner).

One time it can make a desicion or even acting on an instinct (and different breeds have different instinct, that is what defines a breed even more than appearance I would say) to kill someone.

Willy335, attorney general does not have to be able to distinguish breeds, there are specialists.

BSL is based on STATISTICS, NOT on the appearance of any breed.

Statistitians analyze the history of attacks on humans and other animals and conclude that pitbulls and some other breeds are much more prone to violence than other breeds.

You can't argue against statistics.

Your dog might be nice to you, but what if it kills another person's dog? Or even worse another person?

This is sad....here in ontario..the attorney general couldn't even pick out the pitbull in a thing of 20 breeds....so this ban on "bad" dogs is bull....maybe we should ban the authorities..
