Paul Cooperstein and Erica Williamson of the Partisan Defense Committee update the case of Mumia Abu Jamal as he enters 30 years in a Pennsylvania prison. Can Mumia still be executed, is there a chance for freedom, has Mumia told his side of the story. Are there political prisoners in America. These and other issues are discussed with Paul DeRienzo.
@elizabeth, talk about ignorance because I am not of your opinion I am a racist? How on earth do we as people ever move forward if just because you have another opinion you are a racist? what about my comment shows me to be a racist? Is it because I called him a "low life thug"? a persons race does not make them a "low life thug" a persons actions do. I don't care if your black, white, green or purple. If you stand over somebody and shoot them in the head you are a thug in my eyes.

@irish2197 Although Mumia is unfairly imprisoned and experiencing a form of torture, he is more productive then the average America. He's not rotting away, despite evil intentions that he should. Many are fighting for his life. If justice is served, he will be released, and the police who framed him and brutalized him and the judge who colluded will be held responsible. We can always hope for a more just world. And we have to fight to make the changes that are necessary.

@irish2197 Unfortunately, you believe the propaganda. Mumia is not guilty. You're revealing your racism and ignorance.

wow, the man is guilty. He was not framed, he is a low life thug who will spend the rest of his life rotting away.
