Engine ticking/pitter pattering what is it.. TIMING CHAIN?

UPDATE::: the sound seems intermittent but lately has been pretty consistent. Sounds metallicy when driving like there is a faster chattering than what you are hearing. At idle it doesn't seem to be real noticeable once the engine is HOT.


When reving it up it is not there sometimes and you hear it as soon as it drops back down to idle... runs fine tho other than the ticking on cold days/cold starts.. even after its been running it still ticks.. unless its a hot day outside 70degrees+.. I'm going to change the belt.. switch to the manual recommendd 5w30 instead of 10w30 like i usually use... what else.. i am stuck and this noise is annoying turning up my music sure i cant hear the noise but i have OCD when it comes to stuff like this and i know its there and i want it fixed
