are the flutes in this running bamboo or clumping bamboo?

whats the difference of running bamboo and clumped bamboo, isn't all bamboo grown in segments

@hulusi2008 you're probably working with running bamboo...but I doubt it matters for the purpose of making instruments, the structure of the bamboo is the same, really. ' Running' sympodial bamboo spreads underground and forms large thickets from a single plant. 'Clumping' monopodial bamboo stays in place, although the clump will get larger in time. Running bamboo usually has larger culm diameter.

@TravelerWhereof i do beleave so, althought now you make me doubt myself XD i wanted to try an order a Brazilian Major Dark & Carved from his charity project but it seems he is not (was not) in america atm so sending that damn thing would cost me 10 dollar more then the flute itself XD
