  • Michael Brecker's solo is transcendent. He takes from where Coltrane left and raises the bar a few notches. I am not comparing these two giants. Coltrane is at the Mount Olympus. But Michael Brecker sums up Coltrane's legacy with a level of energy, control and melodic complexity that's superhuman.

  • @Blokeio indeed!

but this is YT. Justin Bieber's fans are all over the place.

  • Where is the solo? This is amazing. One word.

  • Damn.... just too awesome

  • I am wondering if I play like this??? I know so many people like Michael Brecker and his play style, though. Hearing like so funky and mixing and crazy solo. But I can feel no noise, it is comfortable sound. So he is playing like nobody like and good music.

  • Super bebob

  • As much as Brecker is great, I can't help feeling that he is a selfish player. By this I mean he seems to play the same way no matter what type of tune or band he is dealing with especially on up numbers. His playing is exciting on funk type grooves but for swinging/blues Jazz; not sure man.
