Based on the way that the song was played on 28th June 1971 at the Fillmore East, by Leslie West, with the American group, Mountain, the recording becoming part of the famous Dream Sequence from the Flowers Of Evil LP.-------- As for me, I was the European teaching assistant and worldwide manager of Erick Friedman - one of the 20th century's greatest violinists - from 1994 until his sad death in 2004. I now teach violin and guitar, privately, in London.

  • I wish you lived close because id jam with you in a minute! I have Felix Pappalardis actual bass and sunn amps. I love the way you play! Just like West. Id love to hear you play through a wall of amps. Most people think the tone is in the amp. Its in the hands of the player. You have a magic touch. I love that you put this video up.

  • @ALBERTromano1965 - Thank you very much indeed, and thanks to the others for their nice comments too.

  • I only saw Mountain live once, but if I close my eyes whilst listening to this I'm right back at that show. This is what I heard from my seat all those years ago. Fantastic, Steve!

  • @ALBERTromano1965 Yes! You and @StephenRedrobe need to get together even if it is in cyberspace - record tracks individually and pull it all together. Ck out @silverhamer. These guys did an amazing rendition of Thick As A Brick and I believe their flute player did all his parts in Finland!

  • Very nice and great tone.

  • Thats amazing you learned all those parts. Great playing! Were you using a thin pick? Thats a big part of Leslie's sound. Thats a nice Jr. looks to be one of the rare natural finish? Very cool.

  • Superb!
