Dark Samus is an "It". I'm pretty sure they don't have a gender, anyways.

well, if you put the word "Samus" behind or in front of anything you imply that "It" is in fact a "She of some kind"

It was created in her image, yes. But it's pretty much the essense of Metroid Prime and phazon... If those two things are at all different, anyways. I'm pretty sure MP doesn't have a particular gender though.

@maconwriter yes thank you, i recently learned this.

my theory used to be that when samus was entering aethers atmosphere, and since there were two planets she was technically flying into, when that lightning struck her ship, it caused an opposite style ship to appear in the atmosphere of dark aether and crash on it, and thus dark samus was born.

but now i know better....

@ghostlourde dark samus is not samus's opposite. metroid prime, which was originally genderless. but after samus beat it, it latched onto her phazon suit and took it (which actually overloaded it) and got a little of her dna in the process. thus, dark samus was born.

oh and btw, if dark samus is the opposite of samus, then doesn't that make dark samus a guy? cause then if dark samus is a guy and samus is a girl........i think you get the picture. :O

@Quadraxis14 why did you keep saying "they" refering to dark samus as multiple entitys its one being you see her get exploded into tiny phazon particles and suck the phazon from that room member the end she reforms FROM particles there isnt dark samus clones trust me im a metroid fanatic thats my email name ;P

@yinyang35 Dark Samus is Metroid Prime's essence bonded to the Phazon Suit. Remember when it ripped the Phazon Suit from her at the end of MP1? Yeah, that's how it happened.

Dark Samus is the reincarnation of Metroid Prime, and Dark Samus is a girl because she is an almost perfect clone of Samus.

Dark Samus' theme is awesome. Though I do like the Prime 3 version a little better.
