I love how all the Canadians are commenting on this and bashing Ohno when they probably didn't even see it happen. He barely laid a hand on the other guy, and he was disqualified. He didn't push, and he barely even touched. He shouldn't have been disqualified, end of story, no bias there. All the Canadians are flipping out because they finally got a gold medal in this sport (one they didn't earn, may I point out).

No, but seriously. I think it was kind of a bullshit call. As people have already pointed out, Francois did the same exact thing to Ohno in an earlier race (which arguably cost Ohno the gold), but the ref didn't do anything about it. Why? Probably because they were both Canadian. Shit like this happens in every Olympics though, so there's no point in arguing about it now people...

this was a ridiculous call. Apolo even said it himself, Francois had actually pushed him in a prior race, causing him to slip up and end up with a silver. And the ref just happens to be canadian? It was bullshit, Apolo deserved that medal.

@iceblueprincezz01 Okay I don't HATE them at all. Just ... was a bit dissapointed that Apolo got disqualified. He doesn't brag at all. Read his book "Zero Regrets." It's very warm and heartfelt. He NEVER says how wonderful he is. He always thanks everyone else around him for supporting him. I bet you would like it.

He should be ashamed, his disgraceful response to this event (which was entirely his fault) completely voids all his other accomplishments.
"I didn't push him, I used my hand to sort of cushion the hit" (because he failed to maintain control and was going to crash...) Sure asshole.... blame CANADA for your own shortcomings, that will surely help your cause....
That's like saying "I didn't bash his skull in, I just used his head as a sort of cushion for my fist"
