In April of 1980 Shaka Zulu Shabazz (Prof. Sayfullaah Al-Amriykiy) enter the ring as the Main Event to face the New York Professional Kickboxing Association, headed by Wildcat Molina to face Apache Cruz(20-0)the reigning Professional Super-Lightweight World Champion. Prof. Sayfullaah entered the ring as the 'ZULU WARRIOR' and had never fought in the ring as a Amatuer or Professional Kickboxer. The fight ended with Prof. Sayfullaah(who was not a Muslim at the time)with Prof. Sayfullaah knocking out Apache Cruz 20 seconds into the fourth round with a Jumping Back Kick. In December of 1982 a rematch was set up and called "THE GRUDGE MATCH!" Shaka Zulu Shabazz had by this time pronounced the Declaration of Faith that brings one into the fold of Islaam and had legally changed his name to Sayfullaah. The Warrior Within Dojo, Inc. presents Rounds 1 and 2 of this historic fight. Prof. Sayfullaah, then still known as the 'Zulu Warrior' went on to
defend and keep his Title as the New York Professional Super-Lightweight(130-135Lbs.)World Champion. Prof. Sayfullaah continued on fighting and retired in 1985 as the UNDEFEATED NYPKA WORLD CHAMPION! We would like to express our deep gratitude and heartfelt thanks to Grandmaster Anthony Muhammad and his Wonderful Crew of Commentators and Camera Men for doing an excellent job of recording and preserving this moment in history.
