i'm german. and our teaches had the classes pretty well under control. if things got too loud, our german teacher took the classbook and hammered it on the table until we shut up. :)

@Aroddo in every class was it bad, especially in the music class , there i was the only girl (beside my teacher) ^^ do you live in the us or in germany ? ^^ are u a teacher or a student ? i think the best methode to shut the kids up is to send them out of the class room and give them some exercise , : ) hehe

cause in my classes that only happened when we got a new bloke that hadn't figured out yet how to shut us little bastards up. :)

@Aroddo no thats not correct i'm a german student and at my old class they all were loud , even when class was in session ! they didn' t respect the teacher and they had lot' s of conflicts !

Not all American schools are bad. Everyone just gives us a bad stereotype. I'm not saying we have the best schools ever but it certainly depends on which part of America you are from. Oh and most American schools give you time in the beginning and end of class because usually the teacher needs to gather everything for class first. So all you people from anywhere other that America that are stereotypical assholes can GTFO.

I have the impression that education is not so effective in the USA when I see the classes walking around and talking so loud - don't you have teachers who TEACH?

BTW I know a couple of Germans who took English for four years and cant speak a word, so we are all the same. It has nothing to do with the USA. Some students are winners and others... not so much.
