Jesus @AcousticLauson, full marks for a timely comeback. 2 things. 1) as @evertonsix rightly points out, it was a joke and 2) everyone has an opinion and often it's different to other people's opinions, that's what makes life interesting. They all have the same list of typical innovative bands that changed their lives as teenagers. If you define innovative by that you should have dropped House of Love, they basically inspired all of the early 90's creation bands. you call those bands innovative? prefab sprout were a great band, but hardly ever innovative. being innovative is doing something new, that has never been done before and inspiring others. innovative is ride, mbv, sonic youth, the mondays, velvet undeground, stooges. sorry bloke, but innovative music died out around the time you were born @powerslide13
