Higher State - "Song Of The Autumn": SXSW 2012 Showcasing Artist

For over 6 years now, The Higher State have crafted and honed their own unique musical signature: a combination of 60's-style garage psychedelia and folk punk, meshed with full-on vocal harmonies and incisive, thought-provoking lyrics reflecting upon the ever present NOW. Their well-worn travelling shoes have taken the group all over Europe and North America, with appearances at festivals such as the Cavestomp in NYC in 2007 and the Wooly Weekend festival in Montreal in 2009. Their third full-length album, Freakout at the Gallery, was just released in November of 2011 by local Austin label 13 O\' Clock Records.
