Basically you cannot have socialized healthcare without abortion. The state needs to be able to terminate troubled pregnancies otherwise you could collapse a socialist healthcare system even faster than a free market system. Thats where your going to find the real big government savings in euthenasia.

It took 100 years to bring down the American capitalist healthcare system but a socialist system could collapse under it's own weight in months or even weeks. An army of babies born with genetic disorders would have the same Cloward Piven effect on a socialst healthcare system as a capitalist one. So in order to save socialism the state must be able to euthenize expensive and unproductive elderly and disabled patients or the Left may never get chance to use their public option.
