@bungerman1000 i think that we were using the same base as before, but the subscript 3 was just forgotten. i am pretty sure he meant to write (CH3)3CO- (i am assuming that you are talking about the second reaction with the iodocyclohexane.)

What constitutes a non-bulky base and a bulky base? What is the difference? I understand that the bulky base is different because its larger, but exactly how much larger? What is the definition of bulky...more than one methyl group, greater molecular mass???

why didn't he write the iodine at the end with the negative charge since it was eliminated? i am just confused why would that be wrong?? anyways this helps A TON because my book is so confusing and my prof goes very fast. these reactions are not that difficult you just must memorize the patterns and the handout def helps! i will donate after my o chem class is over and hopefully pass!
