Yup, that's the mid-bosses theme alright. It only plays against the ghosts of the McNeil mansion and the bullies, though. Or so I think.

Are you sure that's the Amalgam battle theme?

I remember hearing this track with the minor ghosts, but I could swear the BGM for the Amalgam battle is the standard boss one...for the PAL version, at least. I played the USA one too but that was more than 10 years ago so I'm not sure about that.

You are right : the BGM playing while fighting the Amalgam is the standard boss theme. However, the name of the track is Amalgam Ghost Battle. It's probably because it mainly plays when you fight the ghosts in the McNeil Mansion, and those ghosts are part of the Amalgam.

Odoro is my favorite boss theme in the game, I know it's kind of a "warm-up boss" theme, but it's still brilliant.
