Kentucky Squirrel Hunt

On another segment of the show, two Kentucky squirrel hunters also head two of the state’s larger law enforcement agencies. We head to the hills of Shelby County with Kentucky State Police Commissioner Rodney Brewer and Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources Commissioner Jon Gassett as they hunt for supper.

all the kids i start out hunting, start out with squirrel hunting.then to rabbits and upland game , then to deer. a friend that got me into deer hunting , told the best way to learn, was to hunt squirrels.

i think airrifles would be better to use then real guns when it comes to squirrel hunting

Im 12 and i uae a 4-10 because i like it for small game netter than my 20gauge but i have a 22 i use also with my game big-cat

are you on private land of public. where I live in nc, public land is either so thick with biers you caint walk or over hunted. if you can't lease your up the creek.

@thesuperbadsquirrel im 12 and i use a 20 gauge it seems better to me my 4ten is a pump only holds 5 20 gauge holds 6

@thesuperbadsquirrel In the case of the .22 or the .410 i would go with 22 because ive shot somany shells on bushytails with a .410 and they ran away but if i had to upgrade from .410 i got go with a 20 or a 12 gauge thats me but i guess the dude who owned my .410 before stretched the barrel with slugs or something cause only 3in 6 or 7.5 pattern good and short 6's

You know I started deer hunting 13 years ago and I'm in my 40's. It wasent until I started squirrel hunting that I started to harvest deer. Squirrel hunting has improved my hunting knowledge all around, and its alot of fun.

Takeing my 11 year old nephew squirrel hunt for his first time this year in Texas. He cant wait. He is so excited only one more month away till season starts.
