@0unwritten0 Don't waste your time. The books were TERRIBLE. The show is infintely better. The books contained some of the worst writing I've ever seen. The plots are lame, the dialog is terrible, the characters are under-developed and just aren't likable. Bonnie's a cry baby and Elena's a mean girl. I was reading and just couldn't see why I was supposed to care about her or why Stefan loved her. L.J. Smith was recently fired from the publishing label which should tell you about her writing.

@VampireWerewolfLove Granted, the TVD books were some of the worst writing I'd ever seen, haha. The show is farrrrrr better than the books. But yes, TVD was written before the vampire craze really caught on...a good 10 years of so before Twilight.
