I lived in Louisiana for 3 years 30 years ago, and just came back from another 3 years last September. If you really want to hear this music live, you have to go and hit the little bars. Alot of the local talent is spectacular. The best music and most authentic will be found down in the marshland. Try Dulac and Port Fourchan and where the shrimpers hang out after a hard days work. Louisianna gets in your soul and never leaves...nes pas?

What's great about these Transatlantic sessions is how these master musicians move so easily from Cajun to Scottish to Bluegrass to Old TImey to Quebecois - every one of them playing with constant brilliant technique and sensitivity. You can see in their smiles what a fun time they are having with all the classic tunes in all different styles of music!!!! Just wonderful!
