Bobby Scott, who was Archie Manning's back up, was the Generals first QB, followed by Brian Sipe, followed by Doug Flutie.
For the record, Mike Phipps was a long time back up QB in the NFL, who played for Cleveland (Until he was displaced by Sipe) and finished his career as Bob Avenelli's back up in Chicago.
I miss the USFL! I live in Pittsburgh, but our Maulers really sucked! The Gamblers were one of my favorite teams and had great players like Jim Kelly, Richard Johnson, Todd Fowler and Kiki DeAyla.
Doug Flutie proved he could play in any Football League
