Congratulations... you just confused a technology nerd.
3D gets old VERY fast. Kind of like HD. After having HD for about a week or two, I really couldn't tell the difference as long as the non HD shows were viewed on the non HD TV. Trust me, about 3D getting old, about 2 or 3 films and I thought 3D was more annoying than good. Then again, I still think the SNES has exceptionally good graphics...

The reason why the glasses cost so much is cause there is electronics in the glasses that cause shutter a LCD to flicker in each eye to give it that 3d effect. Plus the they use real glass in the glasses but I don't know how much it affects the price.

This isn't a rant its more like a preview/personal opinion about 3d TV's. If you where ranting you would be bitching on how terrible they are. Plus most of the facts in this review are stating the obvious the 3D technology that they pack with these TV's is so old that back in the day of the nvidia packed it with there voodoo graphics cards and this was back in the early 90's when people where still using CRT computer monitors.

i think 3d tv's are a waste of money 1080p is fantastic already and to truly appreciate 3d you have to have a large screen 3d doesnt look good on a 60" 3d should stay in the movies

And 3D will be awsme by the way! Price is the only downfall, still low enough to buy though, anyone know how much the Sony Bravia ones will be? Haven't found a price they look awsme.

@malteeaser101 I'm not sure how much the Bravias will be, it did not say on the Sony website.

I like 3D tv's but I think I'll wait for the Auto 3D tv's to come out. Auto3D is short for Autostereoscopy, which means you don't have to wear, or buy the glasses. There are already some Auto 3D tv's on the market but not very many yet.
