As we age, joints lose range of motion (ROM) unless active steps are taken to maintain (or regain) mobility. One of the most important joints in the human body is the hip. This well-engineered joint provides much flexibility in our movements and is responsible for driving much of the body's motion. Hips are designed to function in many directions, not just in the front-to-back plane utilized when running or walking! While everyone suffers when ROM of the hips is limited, athletes, in particular, stand to lose much, as speed and power are adversely affected by limited joint mobility. (Imagine yourself trying to make a maximum vertical leap without being able to bend at the ankles, knees or hips. I guarantee that you're not going to get much air!) Get moving and have fun.

  • This is so awesome!!! You just made my day! I'm doing this EVERYDAY several times a day!

  • @songs415 We're so glad to hear it ... hope you find it helpful. It's fluid and fun, and a welcome break from running, lifting and all the strong, constricting things we demand of our bodies. Best regards, cathy
