They took the object that could potentially hurt her away from her, the baby, not knowing that it could hurt her and wanting to have the object that peaked her attention, started crying, and obviously the parents didn't want to see their baby cry for long and had to give it to her again, while supervising her in order to make sure she didn't hurt herself with the pointed object, and taking it away when she could get hurt...
