I feel that the standard is higher for religious music than for most other music, and so I've never posted a faith-based song before. Just understand that I'm sharing this because it's what's in my heart rather than because I expect it to be the next pop Christian sensation.
Not having any set ideas for video to put with this song, I decided to put in a few of my favorite verses about God's leading in life. All are taken from the NIV Bible. I'll give you a shout out if you're the first to tell me where all five verses come from.
I'll be posting more about this song soon at http://collegeGuy13.blogspot.com . :)

You're my beacon in the darkness
You shine a holy light
Lord your love is radiant
Like a fire burning bright
I don't know what to say to you
I don't know what to do
You're my beacon in the darkness
You're guiding me through
You're guiding me through, Oh Lord
You're guiding me through
Though there' storms in my life
You're guiding me through
[Chorus]
You're my Alpha, Omega
My Savior and Friend
Lord, You're lighting my life
From beginning to end
As I bask in your glory
I praise you and sing
You're my Light in the darkness
My Lord and my King
You're my beacon in the darkness
Your presence is my sight
Lord I'm lost if you would leave me
You're saving my life
I don't know how to thank you
I don't know what to say
You're my beacon in the darkness
You're lighting my way
You're lighting my way, Oh Lord
You're lighting my way
Though other lights grow dimmer
You're lighting my way
[Chorus]
I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.
[Chorus]
You're my Everything

I couldn't hear all the words. I think you should post them. What I did hear was really good...I think they could really encourage people. I like the Scriptures that you posted too. Good job.

thanks, but i'll say, my goal for this song isn't to be a big musician, but just to share what was on my heart. :)
