This is my first ever pop-up video I have made. It's not great, I am still learning the programs. Tried to be satirical with humor. Hope you enjoy it. Leave a comment and maybe subscribe to my YouTube feed and I will try to do more after each meeting.
Look for Shelby Citizen on Facebook and my blog at ShelbyCitizen.Blogspot.com
Thank you.
Note: I redid the pop-up video on my own, not at anyone's request because in the original I had replaced Mr. Nightingale with a monkey in parts. I did this because Mr. Nightingale, in his tirade is just thrashing at all subjects around him, as a monkey does when they get frustrated, that and at some point he was once called a grease monkey (reference name for an auto mechanic) trying to pass as an intellectual.

Mr. Nightingale is not an idiot, he is just short sighted, selfish and a bit spoiled. Instead of promoting his families name by good deeds and good will, he attacks at any and all possible criticism. Instead of quieting critics with good will, he attacks, spreading ill will throughout Shelby Township towards a name his family has worked generations to build a reputation for.
I hope he or someone in his family would see the error of this path and do their best to become a good will ambassador of Shelby Township and a suitable vendor for all the residents.

Here are some suggestions:
Maybe sponsor one of the "summer concerts" or "movie night" and while it's going on, park some of the shiny tow trucks nearby and demonstrate to kids how the tow truck works. Hand out flyers containing ordinances about abandoned vehicles and procedures residents can do to get the township to remove then (using Nightingales towing of course).
Maybe let some small group, like boy scouts or girl scouts, or even neighborhood children set up a pop up tent and sell cookies, popcorn or a lemon-aide stand (with township permission) on the property.
There are a lot of ideas like this but most of all, when you get up to speak at a meeting, don't just attack, promote yourself and your business as reputable, hard working and honest. Make your motto: "come in, give one of the oldest family run businesses in Shelby a try and if it's not right, we will make it right". "We didn't survive over 50 years by intimidating competition and politicians, paying off cops or yelling at board meeting, we did it with reputable service and honesty".
I only fear that the reason Mr. Nightingales doesn't say things like this is because 1. None of it is true. Or - 2. He just has no basic common sense and really is this limited intellectually and in personality. If the later is the truth, honestly, I need to know what schooling he has had and what teachers so I can avoid them and hopefully obtain a better educational result for my own children. Mr. Nightingale is a product of his environment, his upbringing, and if a parent can be proud and brag of his children when they become rocket scientist or civic leaders than the parents in this case should be ashamed.
