Test flight with an HDPro Hero mounted on the wingtip. RV-7 take-off, steep turns, aerobatics, rolls, return to Arlington airport (KAWO) for landing.

  • The package that the GoPro comes in serves as the mount for my wing. The package is a flat piece of black plastic with mounting ears for the clear camera case. I removed two screws from the wingtip, then match drilled holes in the black plastic. A couple of screws through the plastic and into the wingtip hold everything in place nicely. I placed a small square of felt under the plastic to prevent damage to my paint. Hope this explanation makes sense.

  • Is this the suction cup mount for the GoPro? It says it hangs on up to 200 mph. At $300+, I'm a little skeptical to just suck it on to my wing and go flying.

  • Hello there!

How have you fixed the HDPro Hero on the wing?

    Tks!

  • Great video! what mount are you using for your GoPro?
