Tranquility by Mark Otten from Armin Van Buuren's A State of Trance 2004 compilation, Disc 1

Slow and steady wins the race. This song is extremely relaxing and the build-up is truely nostalgic for me. I've been listening to this song since I bought this compilation in 2004 and I cannot get enough of it.

  • Really wonderful tune. I usually put it on my car when I'm on the road driving to the beach with friends, we just enjoy the ride and reflect about life. Wonderful moments, wonderful melodic Trance :)

  • So freakin awesome! perfekt chilled tune

  • @BlazingTrance fucking hell , tell me about it , its living nightmare. All my friends are what i like to call 'Sheep' A new tune comes on the mainstream radio and they all follow the flock and fill there mobile phones up full of mainstream trash. Every time i go to a party i already know whats going to be played before i even get there. Akon , cheryl cole , eminem blah blah jesus give me a break ... give trance a CHANCE you boring sad fucking SHEEP. I feel your loneliness my friend

  • @BlazingTrance Im feel the same way man, New mark otten would have some nasty beats after i heard his remix of the song Novocaine you should 100% check it out if you havent heard it. Fuck it has some Nasty synths in this song just how i like it.

  • @assais I wish everyday I had friends that liked Trance like me.. But I'm surrounded by mainstream lovers.. So I'm all by myself when it comes to Trance..

  • The first 3 minute may feel like an excessively long intro. But to put it in the context of ASOT2004, this opening track and the next two tracks (Sahara and Under The Sun) have a very consistent "flow" (for the lack of a better word) and they feel like one continuous awesome tune of 20+ minutes (and of course, the entire disc 1 is excellent overall). In that sense, the 3 minute intro is a very nice build-up that just requires a little patience.
