I'm sorry, but this disease looks pretty entertaining.

This is very interesting Tom and its great that you are willing to share a side of this terrible disease. I hope you are well and keep battling on mate.

Tom what about talking on the phone or being close to and electronic device, my mom was recently diagnosed with Meige's Syndrome, talking on the cell phone causes her major facial spasms, she is been being treated with botox just to control it a little bit, but things are getting worse... I'm looking forward to hear from you, thanks. Leo
how did oyu get it

@agonei121 - My 7th cranial nerve was damaged by an attack of the herpes virus, and the nerve did not heal correctly, so we think there are some "loose wires" in that nerve, so to speak, that allow outside electrical energy to interfere with my neurological system. We think the synthetic materials of the chairs, since they are poor conductors, allow electrical fields to build up on the surface, and when I contact the surface, cause the involuntary spasms.

@leocubillos - sorry about the slow response. I have no experience where the energy from cell phones gives me problems, but certain things that I hold in my hand will cause a reaction, such as a metallic candy wrapper or certain pieces of metal, plastic, or vinyl. So one experiment would be to see if there is any difference in her reaction when the cell phone is on vs. when it is turned off, if the reaction is the same, then it isn't the energy from the phone causing the problem.

Is this caused by llike brain nervves?

In my case, my 7th cranial nerve was damaged by an attack of the herpes virus. That caused Bell's Palsy, a paralysis of one side of the face. I had a seemingly full recovery, but when the nerve healed, some wires got crossed, since now every time I eat something, my right eye tears up. So the salivary gland and the tear duct are now connected when they shouldn't be.
We think maybe there is a loose wire or two that have made me susceptible to interference from the outside.
