  • What kind of sound hardware is this using? That sounds exactly like a pokey chip.

  • @OneEyedJack1970

Intellivison used a General Instrument AY-3-8910.

  • Not a bad port at all, it's definitely better than the VCS port. It even has the cut-scene, pretty cool.

  • @InhumanCondition

It was never officially released, although the prototype version by Atarisoft was later made available.

  • @Lumotaku 7800 version was good, no doubt. Can't remember Coleco visions version. I will have to look it up.

  • @trencher7

I had cosmic cruncher on the vic 20 it was a really good clone game.

  • @Huntington12345678

are you insane that disk was the most stupid thing I have ever used.

  • @InhumanCondition The 2600 version ruled the 7800 was the best version period.

  • @Lumotaku Get an Intellivision II, controller are not wired in, they are db 9 pins.

  • Not bad for back then. My Atari 2600 version sucked.

  • While the graphics are a tick off, the gameplay and disc controller for the Intellivision made this the best Pac-Man port, IMO.

  • @RJTamm93 I remember that the points for fruits and stuff were double of what they said. Gotta like that!

  • Wow. This port is AMAZINGLY better than the one they had on Atari 2600.

  • @Lumotaku i have no nostalgia for these games or were they ever popular in the uk.

so too me playing these games for the first time, their own titles seam to have some nice ideas but feel low quality cheap and not at all fun to play.

but the saving grace for me is titles like this port of pacman and some other third party titles, mean if i come across an intellivision system cheap enough, i will purchase one.

unfortunatly the prices on ebay these day for most things is unjustifiable

  • @Lumotaku bought the intellivision lives game for the ps2.

    what a waste off money.

im sure there are third party title that are not on the dvd that are worth playing.

but going on whats on the dvd, even when the resolution is above that off an atari the color pallete is similar, the games dont seam to offer anything more and seam to lack any replayablity or any lovable character.

infact most games on the dvd are just terrible

unfortunatly hardware is far too expensive to buy on ebay

  • @cant1rac

Can never love the intellivision because of the shitty controllers wired in.

  • Sounds like luigi saying bagel somewhat

  • ahh at last, i want to love the intellivision.

but most games despite the much superiour hardware to the atari seam to be worse.

maybe its just because Atari wa the machine everyone owned and thats were most game development went.

but this is clearly far better than the atari 2600 version, though i do think the atari version is pretty unfairly treated.

its still a very playable and enjoyable version of the game

  • sounds like the 5200

  • HEY! Did you notice the cherries say 100pts but it gives you 200?

  • @trencher7 Let me guess. Your parents got you an Odyssey 2 because they thought it was more like a home computer with the keyboard; that is, they thought it would be more "educational".

  • This looks very good indeed

  • @benanderson89 I got one at a thrift store for about 40 cents! :)
