  • I clean with brake clean and the use moly grease applied with a brush, a thin coat is all you need for perfect operation. Clean and lube your chain every 500 miles.

  • You need to do it on a regular basis if you drive everyday and even more if you drive under rainy conditions or during winter time. It also prevents your chain from getting eaten by salt during winter time as the road get salted on a regular basis. I bike all year round ....and I live in Switzerland. .

  • this guy seems like he just smoked a few bowls of weed...but it still helped. thx haha

  • Thanks for sharing your lube tips. May I ask, why you did not shield the spray from touching the tire itself?

  • it will only make ur chain look new.i personally think a good chain cleaner with a castrol chain wax is the best way to go

  • a few guys on you tube also recommend kerosine.

  • a friend who is a bike mechanic told me i shouldn't use kerosine to clean the chain as it causes the oil seals on the chain to wear prematurely,he did recommend parrafin to clean it instead. do u have any thoughts on this frankie ?

  • Yea, wipe off anything excessive. It will just fling off on to your pretty bike or even worse your tire.

  • Do you recomend wiping off the excess liquid if you are using kerosene?

  • Friend told me to clean and lube the chain every 300 miles. If you drive through a good amount of rain or water or if you drive near a beach were theres lots of sand and sea water in the air, it probably wouldnt hurt to clean and lube afterwards.
