  • @Stephanie3189 I actually thought Oliver! deserved the best picture oscar over 2001: A Space Odyssey

  • This is what I watched over and over on DVD as a child before I got into Harry Potter. I knew every single song by heart and I was OBSESSED with Jack Wild! I wanted to go back in time and steal him!!! Funny how it kind of set me up to love Harry Potter, since HP draws so much from depictions of Dickensian London. I LOVE YOU JACK WILD!!!

  • @cxmichelle 2001 was crap.

  • love the way that guy says MMMMOOOORRREEE?!?!?!? lol!!!!! also love this kind of this preview, 60's are so wierd, but love the movie!

  • Love this Film and "I'd do anything" is the best song in it.

  • Oliver completely deserved Best Picture it was a universal experience that didn't go for special effects that help to age a film and thus the film is still as strong today as it was then. A terrific movie musical experience

  • 2001 space odyssey deserves the title, not this.

  • this is seared into my mind from my childhood and i love it

  • In 1969 at the age of 13 i went with a school pal to see this movie. At the intermission

(For those of you that can't remember this was a break in the film to allow you go to the foyer

and top up on popcorn & whatever else you fancied) So off i went to the foyer and got 2 large ice creams. I got such a shock when i put my hand into my pocket and found that someone had snatched the only £1 note that i had in my pocket. Great memories of Oliver..

  • I remember watching this movie so many times as a kid (and young teen). Such fun. :D

  • nancy dies
