Rex, the 5 metre monster croc at Sydney Wildlife World, gets his first feed after moving to Sydney from Darwin in December 2009.
It's not unusual for crocs to go over 6 months without feeding when placed in a new environment, so at just a couple of days over 3 months before his first bite to eat, keepers are satisfied that he's feeling comfortable in the new purpose-built multi-million dollar exhibit - Kakadu Gorge - that's now his home.
Over coming weeks and months we'll be conducting regular public feeding sessions, which visitors will be able to watch from either above, alongside, or underneath the waterline of this superb new exhibit.
Get an exclusive insight into how crocs behave beneath the surface through the crystal clear under water viewing gallery.
