  • I lived in Melbourne, Australia in the late 50s and early 60s, and they had traffic signals referred to as "Clock Lights". One was saved and placed in a museum. YouTube video type in: Marshalite by Charles Marshall Melbourne Museum.

Nearby Geelong had unique neon bar signals on a pedestal base in the centre of the intersection. The top 4 red bars would cut out one bar every 10 seconds, until one was left. When it went out, 4 green bars came on, and they did the same thing.

  • 0:21 - illuminated signalboard from a railroad wigwag. Pretty cool.

0:26 - wow, that's an old traffic light!
