I researched it and one place said a heart transplant is 4 hours while another saide 7 to 8 so i'm gonna say 6 hours just as an average.

(3 hours later-JOE'S POV)

I've been pacing the waiting room floors for three hours now. I'm so restless, I can't sit down for the life of me.

Miley: Joe, calm down. She'll be okay.
Joe: It's not just that.
Miley: What do you mean?
Joe: Nothing.
Miley: Joe...?
Joe: Okay, come here.
Miley: *gets up and goes into the corner with Joe*What's going on?
Joe: ??
Miley: *covers her hand with her mouth*Oh my God!
Joe: Shhh, shhhh!

(3 hours later-SELENA'S POV)

I got up from where I was sitting and sat next to Miley.
Selena: I just wanted to thank you, what you did back there was truly amazing. And i'm so sorry I didn't listen before.
Miley: It's alright, as long as you stay away from him.
Selena: Believe me, I will.
Miley: *pulls her in for a side hug*You better.

(No POV)
(30 minutes later)
Doctor: Demetria Lovato?
Joe, Miley, Selena, Nick, Demi's Mom and Ashley all rise to their feet.
Doctor: Full house I can see. *laughs*
Joe: Is she okay?
Doctor: I'm happy to say that everything went as planned and she she should make a full, healthy recovery.
Joe: *breaths out deeply*Oh thank God!
Everyone: hugs eachother.
Demi's Mom: Can we see her?
Doctor: Only family first, please.
Demi's Mom: Okay, come on Ashley.

Demi's Mom + Ashley: *go to her room*
DM: Hello sweetie. *holds her hand*
Ashley: Hey, sis. *holds her other hand*
Demi: *slightly opens her eyes*H-hi.
DM: You don't have to speak, hunny. *kisses her forehead*
Demi: J-Joseph.
Ashley: Of course, I'll go get him. *leaves*
DM: You really love that boy don't you?
Demi: *swallows and nods*W-w-water.
DM: Oh, right. *gets up and pours her a glass of water.* Here you go.
Demi: *Tries to sit up, begins tearing up*Ow, ow, ow!
DM: Hunny, stay. I'll help you. *uses the controller to pull her bed up*I'll go so you and Joe can have some privacy, he should be here any moment.
Demi: I-I love you M-mommy.
DM: I love you too baby girl. *leaves*

(JOE'S POV)
As soon as Ashley told me I could go in I ran to her room, running into several people on the way. I finally got to her room and entered, she was sitting up drinking a glass of water. She looked very tired and weak, but she smiled when she saw me.
Demi: H-hey there, handsome.
Joe: *runs up to her and kisses her* Thank you.
Demi: *knowing he means for being okay* You're welcome.
Joe: I love you so much.
Demi: I love you too.
Joe: No you don't understand how much I love you. *pulls something out of his coat pocket and kneels down* I know we're young. And I guarantee that people will think we're crazy, but I also guarantee that if I don't ask you to be mine forever, right now...I'll regret it for the rest of my life, because in my heart I know, you're the only one for me.
Demi: J-Joseph, what are you doing?
Joe: *opens up the black velvet box with a beautiful diamond ring* Will you marry me, Demetria?
Demi: ???????
