I like your points, but the way the world is today might just be a choice, i guess it's a very bad choice but too many people choose the bad choice, ignorance is suicide... but that leaves more rum for me, i guess i like to see people rant about how fucked up the world is, because i know there are some who care.
I just returned to this after many long months and was quite impressed with the comments. It was great to see (although the delivery could have been better) that you felt strongly enough about something that you actually took the time to speak out. Many comments touch on the subject of society wanting to be led, and the truth of the matter is, that while many will sit and complain there are very few who would actually take action for fear our comfy little lives would be disrupted.
You don't need to have great knowledge on a subject to form an opinion. For example very few people who condemn global warning have sufficient knowledge in how 'green house gases' lead to increased tempratures or how ozone depletion occurs but it is not necessary that they do so because the weight of the argument is not in the science but rather in the moral implications. Most important subjects could be described in a similar way.
"I only say my opinions on subjects that I truly know"
I think you're assuming that your sources are objective bystanders dictating their experience. If you are receiving two completely polarized perspectives or how ever many you are accessing, it still may not demonstrate the true realistic situation. The example I had in mind was the middle east conflict but that's the default for a controversial issue. I think opinions should be directly derived from experience as opposed to speculation.
Wow for an objectivist, you sure do spout the insults at those people you claim have no bearing on your mindset or view of yourself. If you do not care what they think, then why a video response to them? Contradictions do not exist as you well should know.
i enjoyed your speech/ rant and ill ry to keep it in mind someday but to possibly change my views because of it would make me lose my individualism besides for that to happen i would need to have a conversation thats much longer than 8 minutes lol but good points im sure
